Kona goes krazy in Keswick

Looking for something to do on Bonfire Night other than the local fireworks display? You could do considerably worse than to make a weekend of it and head up (or over or down depending on geographical leaning) to Keswick MTB for its November Fat Tire Festival.

It's a joint effort between KMB and alliterative ally Kona. Kona will be bringing along a bunch of 2005 bikes, plus of course team riders Fabien Barel and Tracy Moseley and Kona-sponsored pros Scott Beaumont and Darren Howarth. Ever wondered how handy a DH World Champ or a pro 4X racer is on a Lakeland XC loop? You might be surprised...

The weekend includes all sorts of attractions. You've got a fancy dress night ride followed by a barbecue on Friday night, a choice of guided rides on Saturday (including singlespeed and unicycle options if you must) with top tunes in the evening provided by the legendary DJ Des. Sunday climaxes with a big all-in Borrowdale ride and then everyone wends their way home tired and happy.

Further details, including accommodation options and all that stuff, can be had from Kona or Keswick MTBs.
