Shred gets an offer it can't refuse

When you get summoned to meet the Godfathers then you really have no choice in the matter.

First there was Gary Fisher, the Godfather of Mountain Biking, who was making a not-so-rare appearance in the UK. We thought he'd have some things to say about the current state of mountain biking and we were right.

Then our inside informants told us that the Godfather of Freeride Mr Wade Simmons was coming to the UK. We knew all the UK magazines would jump on this like a flash so decided to up the ante and get the Wade interview first. So here we are with two of the most influential figures in modern day mountain biking all in one issue.

There's a whole heap of other stuff besides. Full rundown on this years events, full race dates listings, how to make spokes, fashion, film, lifestyle... and the usual alternative entertainment that keeps Shred different.

Don't forget that you can subscribe for £10 for 4 issues and you get a free choice on our new Shred tees by going to www.shredmagazine.com.

That's about it, we'll be seeing you at the first event on the Shred/Bikemagic.com summer tour. You should be able to catch up with the new issue of Shred magazine, and get Wade Simmons to sign it for you, on the Silverfish/Rocky Mountain Stand at the Bike Show this weekend. We'll have a sneaky Bikemagic special with Wade for you before that though...
