MaXx Exposure

maxx-exposure (8K)

Trail Break has just announced a new event to cater for those with a yearning for more night-time riding. There's usually a fair bit of darkness in a 24 hour race, and Dusk 'til Dawn was the first race to skip the boring old daylight bit altogether. Then earlier this year we had the Exposure Lights Big Night Out night enduro at Builth Wells. And Exposure Lights is also supporting Trail Break's MaXx Exposure.

The format is simple. The start is at Beachy Head at one end of the South Downs at sunset on 22 October, and the goal is to finish before sunrise at Queen Elizabeth Country Park near Petersfield, 80 miles away. By our calculations, that gives you slightly less than 14 hours to cover the distance, so if you can maintain a 6mph average you'll be sorted. Assuming that your lights last long enough, of course, although the internet tells us that there'll be a waning gibbous moon that weekend, so if it's a clear night there'll be a reasonable amount of moonlight to see by. And there'll be lighting support from Exposure, with a half-way battery pit stop available.

As usual from Trail Break, all the logistics and support will be fully sorted - transfers from end to end, manned campsite, kitbag transport and all the rest of it will be taken care of. The guys there have been running enduro challenges along the South Downs for a decade, so they've pretty much got the hang of it now. It should be a remarkable event...

More information and event booking is available on Trail Break's website at www.trailbreak.co.uk/maxx_exp/.
