We're off to SITS

Depending on which weather forecast you look at, it could turn out to be very sunny, or a wet and windy affair. Whatever the weather though, this weekend's Kona Sleepless in the Saddle should be a top event. As with Mountain Mayhem last year, the venue has been changed, in this case from Trentham gardens to Catton Park.

We've just got off the phone to title sponsor Kona, and the course is sounding great. Similar to the Enduro Plus earlier this year, woodsy singletrack makes up the majority of the course, and the organisers have closed a road for 36 hours to bring a whole load more trails into play. It's still fairly low-lying, though - don't expect too many hills.

Bikemagic will be sharing a pitch in the trade area with our publishing partners Shred, and our only-just-launched women's cycling site SheCycles.com will be making its first of many regular showings at mountain bike events. We'll have plenty of cake and stickers so make sure you pop by and say hello.

BM photographer for the weekend is Simon Kirk - he'll be doing his best to ensure he gets a photo of you all, so make sure you smile/style/crash in front of him - we'll be running a competition next week for the best/funniest photo.

As is traditional, the BM teams aren't actually quite finalised yet. But they'll include David Arthur, Gary Jennings, George Fisher and Robin Smith (aka Free Wheelin' Franklin - the lucky BM member plucked from the forum to ride with us) in the Bikemagic Sport Team and Karen Burt, Claire Jennings, Mark Allport and, er, a couple of other people on the Bikemagic/SheCycles Mixed Team.

Best of luck to all the competitors, we'll see you there...

Will there be any photos from the event this year as there have been in the past?
