Rob Penn's A Place To Cycle would make a great gift for anyone with a penchant for travel by bike. The book contains details of 35 multi-day bike tours, ranging from easy road-based wine-tasting trips through the Loire valley, through more testing singletrack expeditions and on to super-rugged high-altitude trips in Nepal. They're all organised tours, and the descriptions are mostly edited versions of the holiday companies' trip notes, but there's plenty of information and inspiration here. Fine coffee-table browsing to sate (or create) some wanderlust.
