Evans Cycles, the UK's leading independent cycle retailer, has launched an innovative new customer service named 'Store2Door' - that enables customers to order items in store for free home delivery.

The Store2Door facility is accessed by Evans Cycles customers on-line within Evans Cycles stores on internet kiosks. Customers follow a series of easily navigable screens to identify the products they require and place an order. The products selected are then delivered free of charge to the customers own addresses. The new service is available in all Evans Cycles' 19 stores and is perfect for customers who don't want to be burdened with bulky items on a long shopping trips or have to face bus or tube hassles.

Once a customer has made a purchase either at the Hub Kiosk or on-line their details are stored and future purchases are simplified as customers simply log on as an existing user. Payment is on-line through either credit or debit card. In stock items will usually be delivered within 3 working days. Store2Door is also ideal for customers wishing to send a gift to a friend or relative as the delivery address can be directed to the recipient by the purchaser.

The service covers the complete Evans Cycles stock range as appears on the website. This features over 8,000 items including bikes, clothing, spares and accessories - many more than can be held in any single shop.

A recent customer survey showed that over 80% of in-store bike purchases were researched on the company's website www.evanscycles.com prior to visiting the store to purchase.
