Evans Cycles Trail Rides

swinley07

The Evans Cycles Trail Rides are organised and run by Team Trail Break and take place once a month at some great locations around Southern England. The Trail Rides are a great way to get out on your bike, sample some quality trails in amazing locations and meet up with like minded riders. Entry costs vary from £8-10 depending on which route you take (plus a £2 charge to enter on the day), you can download a form and book your place at www.evanscycles.com. There are concessions for riders under 16 years making this a great value day out for all the family.

Next event with demo bikes - May 13th

The next Trail ride will be on Saturday May 13th from the Evans shop, near Gatwick, the SheCycles team will be on hand to run a women's group ride. Plus there will be a seminar and Q+A session at 9.00am for any women who would like help and advice on setting up their bike for the ride.

There will also be a range of demo bikes available for the ride, bikes from Cannondale, Trek, Kona and Specialized can be pre-booked for the event.

Evans arrange three different rides so everyone is catered for - from first timers through to experts, you're guaranteed a great day out on your bike. For more information on the rides go to www.evanscycles.com but basically the ride will be split into the following route options:

Short route - for novice and leisure riders or for the family to enjoy a ride together. Covers 12-15 miles of well marked trails over enjoyable off road terrain. Routes will cover climbs, descents and road sections ... but the harder trails will be avoided where possible.

Medium route - more of a challenge and incorporates up to 22-27 miles of excellent off road terrain. A good test of fitness and a great way to explore a new area. Much of this ride will take in the experts route so we will try to include the best descents available .. and of course the best climbs!

Long route - this tougher long ride extends the medium ride to between 35 and 40 miles. Routes may include tough hill climbs, fast descents and an element of navigation. Ride 40 miles at pace over off road terrain and you can be sure you'll get a great work out. Many locations we visit include some excellent descents so there will be plenty of exhilaration to enjoy too.

All routes start and finish at the same point and once you're back at the start/finish area it's time to relax and recharge with some of the world famous chili con carne on offer. The rides are supported by POWERBAR who provide free energy drink for all riders at the start location and at the drink station en route.

Venue: Evans Cycles, Camino Park, James Watt Way, Crawley, West Sussex, RH10 9TZ

Time: Riders who have booked demo bikes should arrive at 8.00am, rides start at 9.00am.

SheCycles Beginners Seminar for women: starts at 9.00am followed by women's ride and then Q+A over lunch.
