The fourth round of the Premier Series will head down south this weekend as Newnham Park in Plymouth plays host to the NPS and Trek British Marathon Championships. The Marathon Champ will be crowned on the Sunday, with Nick Craig in contention, though with the hot competition there's no guarantee.
Saturday is NPS day, and we hear that Liam Killeen (read our podcast with Liam) will be popping along - that should shake up the regular racers a little. It'll also mark the first time Liam's raced in England since taking the Commonwealth Gold medal in Australia at the beginning of the year.
Newnham Park needs no introduction, and the organisers have a great course planned. Expect two river crossings and the return of the notorious Mineshaft descent, this is our tip for a top spectating spot. Course length will be around 5.4miles with over 130 metres of climbing.
The campsite will have hot showers, loos, water, Café Jackets will be serving up grub and there'll be a large trade area. Online entry is available until Thursday evening, after which it'll be entry on the line only.

yo just a heads up really. so that we don't have to listen to people moaning about the course being 'not flowing', 'too cut up' etc when really they just needed to change their tyres from the summer semi slicks.
looks like a little shower on saturday afternoon so best bet is to run something with a decent amount of tread and not too wide. personally I am going to run a pair of trailrakers.
see you for the SHRED magazine Dual Descender in the evening. register free on the Shred stand all day saturday for some xc slalom fun. practice from 6, racing from 7pm.
