Happy Birthday Dirt!

dirt10 (23K)

Frighteningly enough, it would appear that Dirt Magazine, that treeware bastion of all things jumpy, downhillesque and 4Xular, is ten years old this year. Which is one of those events that makes us feel rather old and crumbly, in a "surely that only came out the other week?" kind of way.

By way of celebration, the people behind Dirt are holding a bit of a bash - the venue is Walkabout on Birmingham's Broad Street, the date is 3 December and the time is 7pm.

The evening will also play host to the premiere of Earthed 4: Death or Glory, the latest film in the ever-popular Earthed series. And as if that's not enough, the Dirt reader awards will be presented too.

And the best bit? It's all completely free. Except the beer, of course. Oh, the small print - it's over-18s only, and you may need ID.

Bloody hell - now I feel old! I remember the first ever Dirt (and still have it in the attic!) which featured a test on the first ever Z1's!

That makes me realsie how long I've been riding bikes for - which is even scarier as I'm not quite 24!

Happy birthday Dirt.....
