Thought that water bottles were an uninteresting consumable, destined only to be ejected from a bottle cage and crushed underwheel? Think again. This is Camelbak's bottle, which aims to break out of the bicycle market and make inroads into the wider water-drinking demographic. Which, last time we looked, includes just about everybody. And it's here just in time for Christmas.
What hydration pack pioneer has done is to take its bite valve and attach it to the top of an articulating stem built in to a bottle top. Unlike the traditional water bottle, you don't have to tip this one up or squeeze it to get water out. And the business end of the bite valve is hidden away from the elements when the stem is closed.
It's dishwasher-safe, has an integrated handle and comes in a load of colours. You can even take the top off and fit it on any other bottles that come to hand.
