Syncros returns

Syncros is a brand with a lot of history, but not all of it glorious. It's been passed around a lot in recent years, weathering changes of ownership and trademark disputes on the way. Now, though, it looks as if Syncros is back properly.

Jungle Products (home of Santa Cruz) is now the exclusive UK distributor for the rejuvenated component brand, with a lineup including some new products and some old favourites. The legendary inline micro-adjust seatpost is in the range, along with loads of spangly-looking white bits covering the full MTB spectrum. Most of the gear is categorised as FR (freeride), AM (all-mountain) and FL ("extremely light", for XC/marathon use). You'll find posts, saddles, stems, bars, hubs, rims, wheelsets, headsets and all sorts of other stuff.

Syncros has also assembled itself an array of sponsored athletes including downhillers, freeriders and XC racers - James Doerfling, Tyler Klassen, Steve Romaniuk, the Canadian Rocky Mountain XC team. Sari Joergensen, Marc Beaumont, Neil Donoghue, Will Longden and Thomas Frischknecht.

There's also a new UK-based team, Electric/Syncros, comprising James Hughes, Tom Deacon, "Marples", Billy Cheetham, Dave Smith and Tob Smith.
