Camelbak Elixir

elixir_tube (6K)

If Camelbak’s Elixir conjures up a sense of deja vu, it’s because there's a strong resemblance to both Nuun and Zym that we previewed some time ago.

The concept is the same. A handy size tube with 12 tablets makes preparing your hydration pack considerably less messy – no more spilling white powder all over the boot of your car – and the tube can also be carried with you on longer rides where you might refill your hydration bladder several times. It also has the nice benefit of not making your bladder go all yucky if you don't clean it straight after a ride.

Elixir, like Nuun and Zym, is an electrolyte drink – there’s no carbs in there, just the essential vitamins, minerals and electrolytes to keep you properly hydrated. We spoke to Camelbak importers Zyro and there are currently no plans as of yet to import Elixir, but here's hoping they change their mind...
