This is a pic of my baby, a Santa Cruz Super 8. I bought it from a downhill racer way back in April 2007, as a completely stripped down frame with only a Fox Vanilla 8" travel rear shock on it, for £500. Five months and much sweat and tears later this is the complete bike. The paint job I did entirely myself and I'm proud to say I have been with this bike from bare metal.
It's got Shimano Deore hydraulics front and back which are adequate for the time being but I have some Formula hydraulics in a funky petrol gold colour which are in the workshop being sorted out at the moment. Up front I have some Rock Shox Judy triple clamps, finished with carbon FSA bars, a Specialized white saddle, Sunn rims and Maxxis High Roller tyres.
I have always dreamt of owning a Santa Cruz since I was a kid and this is my pimptasic offer to your lovely site. My next plans for the Santa Cruz though are to get the adapter to turn it into 8" rotors for use with the Formula hydraulics and convert the tyres to tubeless.
