Giant has confirmed that it will be the headline sponsor of Mountain Mayhem 2008, the eleventh running of the iconic 24-hour mountain bike race, to be held at Eastnor Castle, Ledbury, Herefordshire on 20-22 June. Yes, that's a lot more than 24 hours - there'll be demo stuff going on on the Friday, with the race itself running from 2pm on Saturday. You can work out when it finishes for yourself...

Mountain Mayhem is the largest and most exciting 24 hour endurance mountain bike race in the European events calendar. Established in 1998, this year's event promises to be the largest to date with in excess of 2,500 competition riders, 450 teams, 150 soloists and a staggering 12,000 spectators expected to attend.

Bikemagic will be a more substantial presence this year, with a category of our very own, a sizable tent/marquee thing and lots of fun stuff that we haven't quite decided what it'll be yet.
