UK clothing company Endura has taken over the title sponsorship of the ever-popular Sleepless in the Saddle 24 hour race (9/10 August 2008). SITS is organised by Pro Velo Support, also responsible for the legendary Mountain Mayhem, and so benefits from the same enthusiasm and attention to detail but with a slightly more relaxed feel. The venue will be Catton Park, Staffs.

Endura owner Jim McFarlane was enthusiastic at the prospect of being involved with SITS, stating:

"Sleepless in the Saddle is an event that epitomizes the culture of what mountain biking is all about; it's less about winning and more about getting on a bike with your friends and having a good time. At Endura we have always been less interested in lining the pockets of elite superstars and more excited about supporting events and activities that encourage people to participate in cycling and to preserve its status as a healthy and sociable sport. We're all really looking forward to getting in the saddle at this year's event which I am sure will be better than ever."
