Keswick Mountain Festival

The Keswick Mountain Festival is a celebration of outdoor sports in the Lake District, and as well as featuring organised walks, climbing, triathlon, water sports and navigation skills, there'll also be a sizeable MTB presence.

Local bike shop Keswick Bikes will be hosting guided rides on 14-18 May, and also making available a range of demo bikes, from the likes of Nicolai, Pace, Cove, Cotic and Merida. If your skills are in need of sharpening, Cycle Active will be on hand with taster sessions of their skills courses.

There's also the Trailquest National Championship, a five-hour navigation event, though there'll also be a shorter event too. Adventure Travel will hold a number of talks about their MTB adventure holidays.

So if you're in or near the area, or planning a trip to the Lake District, make sure to pop along.

If anyone is planning on turning up i am actually one of the sponsors. I will be there for the week in my VW Calafornia camper (I may actually be out riding but i will return each day). I will also have a few other VW models there so if anyone wants to have a try of one or a drive, let me know beforehand and i will make sure i bring one along.

I am really looking forward to it
