Leading MTB book publisher Vertebrate Publishing is currently working on its latest title, and needs your help. The book, to be released in autumn 2008, is planned to be the definitive guide to all of the current purpose-built trail centres in the UK and will, it says here, "be a constant source of inspiration during the long, dark winter months".

Author Tom Fenton will be compiling essential information about all the UK centres, from the pioneering Coed y Brenin to Nant yr Arian, Laggan, Wharncliffe and the rest. But to really get your enthusiasm up, what's needed is a fine selection of top-notch photos.

Which is where you come in. Vertebrate is looking for all styles of photos that capture the essence of riding at trail centres; from close-in action shots to wide panoramas, and it wouldn't be right if there weren't a few photos showing what happens when it all goes wrong!

Vertebrate's ready to pay for pics with real money, too, which is refreshing. The deadline for submissions is Friday 20 June - contact Vertebrate on photos@v-publishing.co.uk for details of how to submit your images.
