Sugoi has lone been a favourite of the BM crew, with the Canadian company producing well thought out products that fit, perform and look great, and are reasonably priced too.

For 2008 Sugoi's RS range, the company's highest performing products, expands with the addition of new jerseys, caps, gloves, socks, jackets and vests - here's the lowdown.

Sugoi's top ranking RS Bib Shorts feature a 10 panel design for great fit and are made from Ultra Aero, a fabric that has a dimpled (like a golf ball) surface so they create less drag through the air. They're also a very close fit and hug the body like cling film, while the bib straps consist of Mobil Mesh for cooling. The FormulaFX chamois uses V-Control foam placed under the sit bones and is laminated to a four-way stretch padding for free movement. Breathability is provided by strategic perforation and 3D moulding provides a comfortable fit for hours in the saddle

The RS Gloves use a carefully placed V-Control pad offering protection for the ulnar nerve while supporting the median nerve. The textured mesh back is breathable and durable, and the stretch terry thumb is bonded to keep shape. Furthermore, the soft synthetic leather palm is vented to reduce palm sweat.

R&R Socks feature a couple of useful design features. They're designed to offer support and increase circulation and reduce fatigue, while a Terry mesh provides structured cushioning at the foot bed. Dense cushioning appears at the reinforced heel and toe zone, and wicking panels aid moisture and thermo-regulation.

A gilet is a versatile bit of clothing for mixed weather days. The Helium Vest is made from Helium, an ultra-lightweight woven polyester shell fabric with high water and wind repellency, with a dry weight of less than 100g. Lightweight TechniFine Mesh is used to provide excellent breathability and ventilation without sacrificing coverage. One rear pocket and 3M Scotchlite detailing complete the features.

The RS Jersey is made from FinoStretch fabric, a soft and lightweight material that's ideal for temperature and moisture regulation, with the addition of Spandex increasing flexibility. Combined with Vector Stretch, a mesh that “creates a cooling environment between your skin and the fabric.” S Flat seams, a 16” invisible zip and four large rear pockets complete the finishing details.
