Member Reviews: Weekly highlights

The member reviews system is a wonderful resource. It's packed to the seams with 1,000s of product reviews written by the good readers of bikemagic.

But we're never satisfied here at BM Towers. We want to see your product reviews. We're after reviews as helpful as the three below, we're not interested in one-line reviews, but carefully-crafted, well thought-out and objective reviews. They don't just have to be bikes either, as in the examples below, but any part of the bicycle that you've recently upgraded. Whatever it may be, share it with the BM community.

And who knows, next week we might even find some goodies to give to the best member reviews. Get writing...

Commencal Meta 5.2 by Graeme MacLean
Seems to go everywhere really fast. Just got back from a week in Les Arcs and the bike was spot-on. It seems a bit steep for the travel so changes direction downhill really well. Just deals with the smaller (or actually quite big) obstacles while letting the rider deal with the big drops, trees and generally dangerous stuff. The first time I've managed a week in the Alps without a huge repair bill at the end.

What a great bike! Mine is the 2007 version it just flies uphill and is pretty handy downhill too although if you want to get loads of air and do massive drop offs forget it. Still, it's an excellent old-school XC racer that weighs nothing (under 25lbs) despite some of the components being a bit lardy.

Scott Scale 20 by dorkingdan
A great bike for either racing or fast rides. You wouldn't want it as an only bike for big mountain all day epics but as a partner to a long travel trail bike it's superb. And for racing, its ideally spec'd, totally suited to longer enduro and/or technical courses and ready for the podium out of the box - all at a very good price considering the spec.
