Litespeed Niota Ti Frame by Guy Woodhouse The suspension action balances plushness with pedalling efficency. It doesn't feel bottomless plush as the 'constant leverage' thing means you don't blow through the mid-travel and you only get maximum travel when you actually need it. This suspension doesn't wallow and with the RP3 shock it really eggs you on to go faster and faster.

Bell Bellistic Full Face Helmet by Graeme MacLean Maybe I have a Bell shaped head, but this is the most comfy helmet I've worn, full face or XC. Took a minor hit without flinching, fortunately I've not had the chance to find out how well it copes with worse abuse. Doesn't seem to block the view out at all.

661 2x4 Elbow & Forearm by Graeme MacLean A great bike for either racing or fast rides. You wouldn't want it as an only bike for big mountain all day epics but as a partner to a long travel trail bike it's superb.
And for racing, its ideally spec'd, totally suited to longer enduro and/or technical courses and ready for the podium out of the box - all at a very good price considering the spec.

TrailAddiction Les Arcs/La Plagne by Graeme MacLean The trails. If you're prepared to step up your riding several gears, there's probably no better place to do it. They're generally steep, techy and have some pretty scary drops, but the guides don't take you anywhere you're not up to and there's no macho issues with getting off and walking the more difficult stuff. Oh, and virtually no braking bumps (unlike Les Gets/Morzine). Oh, and virtually no other riders anywhere!
