The Merida TransWales 2008 kicked off at the weekend and following a lengthy linking stage, the first of the timed Special Stages was a 7km night time-trial, and it proved the perfect opportunity for event sponsor Exposure Lights to reveal the latest fruits of its labour.
Information on it is a bit scarce right now on this latest prototype, but as is clear from the photo is that the cable-free light will employ four SLEDs (compared to three in the MaXx Enduro), which should ensure a healthy boost in lighting up the trail.
Its working title is MaXx-D (D for Daddy) and burn time is reported to be three hours. More information soon...
For £25 area 600 realistic lumens!! Basically 4 SSC P4 240lumen LED's packed into 1 and they pump out 150lumens each really through the front anyway, hence 600lumens.
Amazing they haven't started using the P7's in lights, a Twin P7 setup would be sweet ( ordering 2nd P7 torch soon ) , but it would draw 20 - 24 watts so back to Halogen run times. This light will draw @12watts so similar to a HID's draw.
