There are changes aplenty for the National XC series next year, with shorter and more challenging courses and full UCI ranking for all rounds in a bid to “create a new vibrancy to XC racing in Britain”.
The British Mountain Bike Series will visit five locations around the UK starting in Sherwood Pines and finishing in Newnham Park, Plymouth. Dalby Forest, the venue for the 2010 World Cup, will feature for the first time with a new course.
Organisers Inevent state that there will be international riders racing at each round and a £10,000 prize pot for the top riders. Enduro riders will want to head to Margam Park, Crow Hill and Newnham Park with three distance enduro rides taking place on the Sunday following the main XC race action on Saturday.

May 30 Margam Park, Port Talbot. UCI Class 2 (part of 'BIG' weekend with Trek British Marathon Championships)
June 27 Crow Hill, New Forest. UCI Class 2. (English Marathon Champs on Sunday)
Sep 26 Newnham Park, Plymouth. UCI Class 1 (Newnham 90 Enduro on Sunday)
There will be free camping for all and kids can race free. Don't worry if you're not a British Cycling race licence holder as there will be categories for all levels of riders.
