Aston Hill Black Race

Transrockies 2008: Day 7

Final preparations to the course have been made

It's been a few years since a race has been held at Aston Hill, but with the venue now open once more, the organisers have planned the Black Run DH race, taking place on 15 March.

There's been plenty of work to the Black Run, with it being fully renovated and described as having a lot more 'flow' which it was apparently previously lacking.

Riders will get two timed runs with their fastest counting. There are British Cycling points on offer which will intensify racing among the fastest racers.

Described as “one of the most challenging downhill tracks in the South East”, the course features tight switchbacks, roots, drops and that vital extra ingredient of additional flow.
