Trail Break will be giving riders of its Southern Trail Ride and Navigator Race taking place this weekend the chance to test ride the latest Satmap Active 10 GPS computer.

Heading to Cranleigh, Surrey, Trail Break's weekend of riding will be taking place in the heart of the North Downs and starts with the Southern Trail Ride on Saturday, offering distances from 15 to 30 miles on pre-marked courses. Sunday's Navigator Race is a 3.5 hour orienteering competition.

Satmap will be on site with 20 demo units that can be loaned out for you to ride with for the day. The Active 10 features full OS mapping on a large display, and an easy-to-use interface that lets you to follow pre-loaded routes or plot your course on the fly, quickly and easily, right on the device itself.

For a chance to test a Satmap all you'll need is some ID (a drivers licence will do) and a credit card as form of deposit. It's strictly first come first served.

I purchased 1 of the first 300 produced,it had teething problems;but the customer service was FANTASTIC.I HAD EXPECTED some early snags but the responce to my telephone calls was everything I could  have asked for.     Next, the Active 10,itself.     is SO SIMPLE TO USE   you do not need to plan routes on a computer ;download etc etc; simply use its own Planning page. It can be as easy or complicated as YOU dictate.  Next, the toggle switch & soft touch buttons,  WORK;  the OS Maps are the real thing, exactly what you need.   Now, I ramble, but more regularly OFF ROAD ride my Marin /MTB in Scotland/wales etc. Forrest centres /or simply anywhere LEGAL.   Planned routes or laying down a trail as I go; knowing THAT, if the weather or My bike Breaks, Im Never Lost, what a comfort that is especialy if your on your own like I am. What more can you ask ?.  WELL, it`s ROBUST, I regularly come off; like the last time on  Cane & Abel  Red route; Agh !!!! BUT at least my SATMAP was ok.      Last but not least ,  THE BEST PURCHACE I`VE  made for years.      THANK YOU SATMAP TEAM.....
