Vigne à Vigne

The Cape Epic is a daunting seven-day stage race and if that sounds all a bit tiring, then the organisers have just the thing. The Vigne à Vigne is an annual one-day mountain bike race that coincides with the final leg of the legendary stage race.

The longer 55km route is a challenging course that takes riders through the beautiful vineyards and plantations of Lourensford Wine Estate. The route which as been opened exclusively for the MTN Cape Times Vigne à Vigne presented by Cape Times is tough with lots of rugged climbing and exhilarating descents.

The shorter 22km route is ideal for the up and coming mountain biker. The scenic course gives riders the opportunity to test their skills, meandering through the lower levels of the Lourensford vineyards.

The finish location at Lourensford boasts an ideal venue for mountain bikers of all levels to join into the excitement of the last day of the Absa Cape Epic. The routes are separate from the Absa Cape Epic course and have been designed to allow approximately 60% of the field to finish before the winners of the Epic are expected to arrive. After completing the MTN Vigne à Vigne routes riders have the unique opportunity to join the carnival atmosphere of the Absa Cape Epic finish at Lourensford.
