These socks do work - wore them yesterday (and every weekend for the last six weeks). Although there wasn't much rain yesterday, I crossed waterlogged fields and through puddles in some cases close to a foot deep and 10-15 feet across without a soggy toe. If on sections where the mud prevented my progess, my feet stayed dry in ankle deep mud.

These do work, are warm but do not come in many colours (blue/black or green/black) The only reason I can see for getting wet feet is faultly socks or ingress of water through the top of the sock. I am unaware of any sock that prevents the latter.
