Sea Otter Report 2: Race Face

Race Face continues its push for lighter (and pricier) cranks - not content with already beating XTR's weight with their current Next cranks, here's the first view of the titanium-axled, handmade Next SL, all 685g of 'em. Expected price is around $700 CAD.

Left Lovely machining on the Next SL rings, still in "Prototype" status. Right The top-end alloy Deus components get a bit of a facelift.

Anodized colours seem to be back in a big way, and Race Face have certainly noticed. Here're the Deus cranks in gold...

...the Atlas all-mountain cranks in additional red, orange and purple, and the Atlas rreeride arms with extra blue.

Atlas FR bars now come in a flat-out-bonkers width that was so jaw-droppingly big I completely forgot to write it down. Think "Easy Rider" style and you're not far off.
