Win TransWales race entry package worth £2,500!

TransWales

This has to be possibly the best competition you'll ever have the chance of winning this year. The organisers of the Gore Bike Wear TransWales (15-22 August 2009), the UK's only stage race and now in its fourth year, are giving one lucky reader the chance to win an ultra exclusive ride for them and one friend.

The lucky winner will win a Gold package entry for them and a friend, worth £575 each. The Gold package includes free tent loan, free tent setup and break down throughout the week. As if that wasn't generous enough, you'll also win the following from the category sponsors at TransWales, to make it a week to remember:

  • Merida demo bikes to ride the entire event (worth over £1500)
  • £250 Gore Bike Wear clothing for both riders
  • £200 Ergon kit each
  • NiteRider Minewt Mini US (worth £99) plus a TriNewt Wireless (£475) to borrow for the week
  • £50 of High-5 energy products for each rider
  • Pair of Buff headwear and socks each
  • £180 worth of Schwable tyres and innertubes
  • Squirt chain lube throughout the event

We put the figures through the BM calculator and the total prize came to in excess of £2500 - and that's not including the Merida bikes you'll borrow for the week! Sounds impressive doesn't it? We certainly think so. But you're going to have to convince us of how much you want to win this prize, so we're going to set a small task.

Simply shoot and edit a short video, no longer than 60 seconds, describing why you should win this prize. The best, funniest, most convincing, will be added to our shortlist and we'll pick the one we consider the most deserving of this fantastic prize.

Keep your videos short, we won't accept anything over 60 seconds, and keep the filesize as small as possible. We'll accept YouTube (or other popular video sharing sites) links or if you can't manage that, email your submission to editor@bikemagic.com (and hopefully our inbox won't collapse under the sheer weight of entries).

The closing date is 17 July, which we think is plenty of time to get filming. TransWales takes place on 15-22 August 2009. We'll announce the winner straight after the closing date, giving the lucky winners time to book leave from work and generally prepare. The only stipulation for entering this competition is that you've haven't already entered TransWales.

Good luck!
