Nuke Proof Warhead Ti handlebars

A long time ago, back in the early 90s, Nuke Proof was a component brand that made distinctive parts. Like many other companies from the same era, they disappeared, but several years ago they were brought back by Hotlines UK. The return to producing distinctive products appears strong, if these new handlebars are anything to go by.

The Warhead Ti handlebar has been designed by Brant Richards Shedfire design company (also the brains behind the soon to be available Ragley Ti) and is hand crafted by Lynksey Performance in the US.

The handlebar adopts a three-piece approach, to which Brant says "by welding it up from three pieces, we were able to fine tune wall thickness and diameter for strength and ride quality, and the result is incredibly light weight, huge strength, amazing steering precision, and durability.”

Made from 3Al/2.5V titanium tubing and hand welded, the 227g Warhead Ti is a generous 710mm (28in) wide, with a 9° backsweep, 5° upsweep, 35mm rise and 31.8mm clamp size. The bars come with a lifetime warranty and are described as being ideal for 'hardcore' riding. Decals are laser etched onto the brushed ti finish.

The handlebars are now in stock for the princely sum of £200. Expect lots more exciting new stuff to come out of Nukeproof in the near future.
