Volunteers at last year's Dig and Pig

Just some of the stuff that you could win while helping out

Volunteers are needed to help buff up the course for the 2009 Bristol Bike Fest, with a trail maintenance day planned for Saturday 30 May 2009.

The track, located in Ashton Court Estate, sees intensive use all year round as part of the Timberland Trail, so it needs regular TLC to keep it riding sweetly. For the fifth annual Dig and Pig, we'll be pulling out all the stops, with enough tools and materials to keep a small private army of volunteers occupied.

To sweeten the deal there's a barbecue afterwards, courtesy of the lovely people at Bike Fest, and a prize draw with riding gear from Kona, Sombrio, Continental and free entries to the Kona Mash Up and Merida Marathon events.

If you want to lend a hand getting your local trails into tip top shape for Bike Fest and beyond, head to www.bristoltrailsgroup.com or contact Antony on 0771 265 0857.
