Hutchinson Cobra Tubeless Ready tyres

Hutchinson Cobra Tubeless Ready tyres

Hutchinson has expanded its range of tubeless tyres with the launch of the Cobra Tubeless Ready, which has already been put into action under the wheels of Olympic champion Julien Absalon.

The new tyre uses an “optimised tread and casing combination” and is intended for those situations where you were a fast-rolling tyre in dry conditions with tightly spaced knobs on the 2.1” carcass. Its weight is just 550g, which is 90g lighter than the similar Cobra Air Light Tubetype with an innertube.

The new tyre has sufficiently impressed 6-times US champion Monique “Pua” Sawicki, when she raced them at Sea Otter earlier this year. "When I first tested the Cobra in Moab last year, I was immediately impressed by the speed and hook-up of the small center knobs. They're working really well on the climbs at the Sea Otter, and the side knobs keep it stable when the course gets sandy."

Priced £42.99 and available in all black or black with red sidewalls, the Cobra Tubeless Ready is available now.
