Marzocchi has followed the recent release of its new 44 RC3 Ti, 44 Micro Ti and 888 RC3 Evo WC forks with the launch of redesigned 55 RC3 Ti and 66 RC3 Ti forks.

Following the strategic philosophy that has driven an update of all Marzocchi's 2010 forks, all the "key areas have been worked on to give the 2010 Bomber the legendary buttery feel," says the company. To achieve this the same open bath RC3 cartridge that lives in the 888 is used on the 55 and 66, with a wide range of rebound and high and low speed compression adjustment available- both of which can be adjusted from just one dial.

Marzocchi has also incorporated a new MDU bottom out bumper that prevents any harsh bottom out noises and reworked the titanium coil springs, managing to save half the weight over the 2009 version. Reworked bushings are paired to the stanchions and lower legs to ensure tighter tolerances and smoother running and slotted for better oil flow.

Weight has been a key factor in the redesign and the 160mm 55 RC3 Ti (£899.95) weighs 1850g (4.1lbs), an impressive 362g lighter than the 2009 fork. Weight savings are impressive too for the 180mm 66 RC3 Ti (£999.95), which at 2760g (6.1lbs) is 481g lighter than last year. Both forks are available with 1 1/8” or 1.5” steerer tubes.

A new QR20 system offers the simplicity of QR15 but with a 20mm axle and is backwards compatible.

Available September 2009.

Dave -  any idea on the stanchion size of the
Marzocchi 55 RC3 Ti ?

I'm looking for some lightweight 150mm forks and was wondering if these are comparable with say RS Rev 150mm or the beefier end of things like Fox 36's??

The 55's certainly seem amazingly light but are they going to be flexier than my 36 Van's??

thanks
