RockShox Lyrik 2010

Cannondale 2010

First released in 2007, RockShox's Lyrik fork was brought in as the company's 160mm all mountain fork to bridge the gap between the Pike and its longer travel stuff in the range. For 2010 the fork gets a big update.

There's now a 170mm option which should please some but the real change is two new re-valved Mission Control dampers which are said to offer an improved ride quality. The first keeps Floodgate control but the compression damping has been tuned for better small bump performance. The second new damper, Mission Control DH, is purely focused on descending prowess with updated rebound damping with a larger displacement shaft and the removal of an internal tube, so a larger rebound piston can be utilised. Three damper and four spring choices will further help riders get the ideal setup.

Weight has been improved as well. A new Maxle Lite and updated solo air assembly bring a 70g reduction. Weight for the Solo Air is 4.82 lb, and the coil 170mm fork is 5.24 lbs).
