World Bicycle Relief is a charity that supplies bicycles to communities in the developing world, such that people may more easily carry useful stuff (like water and food) over the considerable distances that are often involved. Various manufacturers have involved themselves in the WBR effort, with Cane Creek being the latest.

Cane Creek's initiative centres around a limited edition Reserve headset. It's making 500 intricately laser-engraved stainless steel headsets, each one numbered and supplied in a Western Cedar box. Cane Creek will make a donation, enough to provide one bike ($134, apparently), directly to World Bicycle Relief for each headset sold.

The WBR Reserve headsets are made in Cane Creek's factory in Fletcher, North Carolina. The engraving design is the work of headset design engineer Jim Morrison (who has no doubt had plenty of comments about his name, so we'll refrain from making any more). "I couldn't be prouder of this design and the organization it will benefit," said Morrison.
