Overall: I bought this jacket because I needed one that would not only keep my dry from the rain but that would also breathe. I was therefore very disappointed to find that after an hour's ride with the vents open, my jersey was very damp and the few things I had put into the back pocket, including my mobile phone, were also damp. This was all as a result of lack of breathability as it was a cold but dry day. I have since obtained a refund and got a Gill instead. In total I wore this jacket about six times, all on cold dry days, so I cannot say how waterproof it is.
Strengths: Quite good VFM, good visibility, does keep the rain out. Snug fit so good for quicker road rides when it doesn't flap around in the wind like a sail!
Weaknesses: Not really breathable, but for £50 what do you expect! Take it off as soon as you stop anywhere to prevent you getting too damp.
Overall: I'll probably spend an extra £50 on a £100 jacket next time.
Strengths: Good fit. Waterproof. Comfy fleece collar. Cheap.
Weaknesses: Not very breathable at all. Sweat builds up quickly despite pit zips and rear vent (which is no use if you ride with a backpack).
Overall: It does keep the rain out, and fits very well (I have a medium), but even on gentle rides the sweat builds up inside. The lining doesn't help much either.
The features (pocket, drawstrings, collar, etc) are good, but in hindsight I would spend the extra on a more breathable fabric.
