Strengths: As soon as you squeeze into this garment you can feel the quality. Instantly becoming warmer. When riding it did exactly as it said on the packet and I was dry and warm, even after 2 hours hard slog, on a dreary February afternoon.
Weaknesses: If this garment has any... I couldn't find one. Apart from maybe being very difficult to actually buy one. Hopefully, there are plenty in stock now.
Overall: Splendid piece of new fabric technology. Go out and buy one.
Strengths: Does what it says on the tin. Amazingly warm, great wicking and breathablity, and best of all you can wear it a good few times before it starts to smell and you need to wash it.
Weaknesses: It would be nice to have the sizes better seperated, I got the S/M and it could do with being a bit smaller on me (I'm only 10st). Somewhat pricy.
Overall: Fantastic base layer, doubt you could get a better one. With just this (S/S version) a L/S jersey (endura sunbeam) and endura thermal bib longs, I seem to beable to cope with any weather - been out several times in frosty ground and kept reasonably comfortable even when waiting for punctures to be repaired.
Strengths: really warm and me missus likes the tight fit.wicks away the sweat without the associated coolness.
Weaknesses: the tight fit - could do with a better size portfolio. you won't disguise the beers from the night before wearing this. though the price might mean laying off the beer on the Friday after buying it.
Overall: i use mine for all me outdoor odds and sods. great by its self on the milder days or just worn under me faithful, but dying, Karrimor Kalahari jacket.can't imagine ever buying another make of base layer in the future.
Strengths: Performs very well, much like advertised. Warm and comfortable and keeps you dry. Easy to see why it is expensive with all the features like air channels on the back.
Weaknesses: Shrunk noticably on the first wash [30 deg easy care with cool air drying] and now annoyingly rides up my back and stomach unless held down by bib shorts. Would get 10/10 if it was a larger size [I have L/XL].
Overall: Nice base layer, performs well but wash it cold and dont even think about tumble drying it.
Strengths: Keeps you warm Keeps you dry (when you sweat) Looks so high tech - the kids call it my battle suit!
Weaknesses: Snug fit!! (have occasionally needed the missus to help peel me out of it - or should that be a strength!!!) Pricey compared to other base layers
Overall: I use this for footie as well as biking, and it is terrific, apart from the sizing which is a little small. It is so versatile it can be used from sub zero temps all the way up to reasonably sunny days, it really does regulate the temp. Expensive, but one of the best bits of kit you can buy.
Strengths: Incredibly Warm - Worn on a cold frosty february morning with nothing more than a light waterproof Jacket. Kept me toasty and comfortable on my journey to work.
Weaknesses: Sizing could be a little better - I find it tends to bunch up on the shoulders, and the concertina elbows tend to ride up. Also is very hard to find in most cycle shops
Overall: Yes It may seem initially very expensive - but trust me - You only have to wear it once on a cold day - to appreciate the money you've spent. Without a doubt the BEST purchase I have made. For once an item of clothing that does everything it claims to do - and more! You will never regret this purchase
