'VERY GOOD AND EASY TO USE'

Strengths:
Extremely easy to use, no faff, takes about 15 seconds to get a bike on or off, no straps and interference with opening doors.

Weaknesses:
Plastic wheel holders, as mentioned by someone else. I have snapped two, and I am beginning to get irritated.

Overall:
Very good, as said, but quality of wheel holders needs improving.

'GREAT CARRIER'

Strengths:
Easy to fit to a lot of different cars. Quickest rack to get bikes on and off.

Weaknesses:
might not fit some odd shaped tubes, eg. Marin, but I haven't found a bike yet that it doesn't fit.

Overall:
Top quality, fast, easy and versatile.

'EASY TO USE'

Strengths:
Good looking, simple and very easy to use

Weaknesses:
the plastic wheel holders are brittle and prone to snapping(Thule do replace them FOC however, but it is a hassle writing to them)

Overall:
Well worth buying, but shop around online - price can vary quite a bit

'GOOD LOOKING AND EASY TO USE PIECE OF KIT'

Strengths:
Dead easy to use. Very secure with my Stumpjumper FSR. Locks. Looks cool.

Weaknesses:
None that I can think of.

Overall:
Lovely. If it fits your bike and you want a roof rack bike carrier, then this is a good one.

'LOOKS GOOD, WORKS WELL, BUT...'

Strengths:
VEry well built works like a dream.

Weaknesses:
My bike insurance says my bike must be locked through the frame to the rack. I can't do that with this one because it only has a single arm to hold up the bike.

Overall:
Very good but has security issues.

'All depends on your Downtube shape'

Strengths:
Light and well made, the frame holder is easy to adjust.

Weaknesses:
Wheel straps hard to tighten. I would suggest some extra bungee straps.

Overall:
Ive had a long search for a roof carrier for a Marin East Peak and like a few others this carrier isnt the one. The frame holder will only be suitable for round or oval downtubes - the Marin just doesn't sit securely enough. I've swapped it for a Velovise Pro 511-1. Check your bike before you buy.
