'50/50 AS TO WHETHER THESE ARE ANY GOOD OR NOT'

Strengths:
Do work sometimes, when I changed one I did see about 5 holes in it that it managed to seal.

Weaknesses:
VERY heavy, only work 50% of the time. You also need to take a pump with you as the tyre loses air whilst it seals. You also need to take a spare tube any was as in my experience they have worked twice, but also failed twice.

Overall:
I fitted these to my bike and after a 5 day trip did not suffer a single puncture, I don't know if during this time I had punctures and they sealed or whether I simply avoided punctures.

After this though I have suffered 4 punctures, twice the slime worked twice it didn't, so there is not really all that much of a benefit. I would certainly not rely on this if I was going a long way, you'll need a pump anyway and better to take a spare tube.

the tubes seem as good as any other, but like other reviewers have said you can easily ruin the valves if the Slime gets into them

I think they are expensive for something that doesn't work well, and also really heavy. Don't think I will buy them again would rather simply carry a spare tube.

'heavy but worth it... they do work'

Strengths:
they do work!

Weaknesses:
can seal up when pumping up (dose that sound strange)
heavy and an inner tube should be as light as possible (reduce rotatinoal mass) but if you are a prone then this is a good advantage!
exspensive for inners

Overall:
they are good i took a set yha'ing and got home took my old worn must bin tires on and i had:
4 thorns
2 bits of glass
in my tubes without noticeing!

'NICE IDEA BUT NOT IN PRACTICE'

Strengths:
The idea seems good enough and they do EVENTUALLY seal themselves

Weaknesses:
They take ages to heal,dont heal in the wet,spew green goo everywhere while pumping them,and add weight to wheels

Overall:
Though these do eventually seal themselves they take forever to do it and by that time your tyres are most of the way flat anyway.Good for "get you home" only.

'WORKS!!!'

Strengths:

'TOP TUBE'

Strengths:
Life saving tubes, i was out on a ride, when a huge thorn went into my front tyre even though i didn't have my pump on me, i pulled out the thorn, and it selaed instantly, and is still going strong. What more do you want! FANTASTIC! Tried 3 other self sealing, specialized too, and they were useless. These are excellent.

Weaknesses:
bit heavy, and tend to make wheel off balance if all slime is at the bottom of the tube

Overall:
Fantastic, if you never want to bother with punctures again, get these. I have done 2,000 miles in them, and had loads of thorns, a nail, and a screw in them, and they pump straight back up every time. The proper self sealing inner tube. When your out in the winter, or be it summer, and want to crack on. these are your tubes. Faultless.

'THEY WORK! THEY'RE HEAVY!'

Strengths:
Gives you a more secure feeling when going out on an epic of a journey on the bike.

Weaknesses:
Heavy motherf*ck*rs!.

Overall:
If your a weight weenie these are definately not the tubes for you! I felt the difference straight away, though since i don't race competitively a little extra weight is worth it. Could be okay on a 12/24 hour enduro.

'CRAP'

Strengths:
good idea on paper

Weaknesses:
heavy, bulky to carry as a spare.
i over inflated it the first time out, let some air out and gunk came out with it. this clogged up the valve whilst it did its job of going solid. tube was no good after that

get a puncture repair kit!

'WORSE THAN USELESS'

Strengths:
None

Weaknesses:
Do not work (I`m using the 210 gm versions). 3 punctures in 100miles, doesn`t stop even teh smallest thorns form leaking. And as an added difficulty the valve becomes blocked with slime

Overall:
A very poor product, OK so it`s light but iot does not do waht it says. Worse than useless because 1. puncture difficult to repair as patch hard to stick if any slime leaking out 2. Valve esaily becomes blocked with slime making it hard to pump up and check pressure. Best advice is on the box TAKE A SPARE INNER TUBE AS WELL. Keep cvlear of this light slime tube product

'VERY GOOD TECHNOLOGY'

Strengths:
Seals tyre properly. Can use on long journeys away from home.

Weaknesses:
None

Overall:
Very good product. I have noticed people complaining about the Slime leaking out. I have the answer to this problem! You are not pumping the tyre up enough, there's a gap between the inner tube and the tyre letting out the Slime when a puncture occurs so pump the inner tube up to a proper PSI (pounds per square inch).
