'GREAT LIGHT'
Strengths:
No wires
Lightweight
Much better than my old halogens
long burn time
Weaknesses:
Stories of reliability issues
old style bracket a bit naff
No QR
Overall:
Great light. I have had it for a couple of years now and it has worked great. Touch wood I have not had any reliability issues with it but others have.

'GREAT LIGHT, SOME DESIGN ISSUES'
Strengths:
They are brilliant lights, the turbo even better than the original race.
Weaknesses:
Switch in both incarnations is fiddly. Needs to be larger and more robust. Possibly a separate on/off to the mode switch.

Mount bracket needs redesigning.

Battery mount needs cushioning to maintain contact.
Overall:
First, the light is very good at illuminating. I have the original race, and a race turbo. The turbo is even better.

I ride with these every day to work along pot holed lanes.

BUT - the mounting is not the best designed and one of mine fell off after a week. I was told it was a batch fault and was eventually swapped.

AND - the switch is fiddly especially with cold fingers and is not too good in the wet. The idea of cycling through the settings by pressing is annoying.

AND - the battery easily stops contacting and the contacts have to be cleaned. I put a small sticky pad in the casing, the design needs changing.

AND I had a circuit board fail on me which took some convincing to get a replacement. They repaired it, at this price and within 2 weeks of new it should have been replaced.

'brilliant!'
Strengths:
weight,size,power,run time,clean and uncluttered design.
Weaknesses:
needs q/r.
early days yet, interesting to see how they hold up over the next year, and where the design goes from here.
too early to answer the reliability question
Overall:
brilliant,if your sick of strapping stuff to your bike but still want the power to go off road night riding then these are highly recommended.weight is so little i`m going to leave them on my bike all year!
power is ample for off road and with a spare battery i get 5 hors of riding.superb!
too early to answer the reliability question yet.

'GREAT PACKAGE BUT UNRELIABLE'
Strengths:
Size, weight, power & lack of clutter are excellent. Run time is fine. I use them for commuting and they even light up the tarmac reasonably enough.
Weaknesses:
Reliability: I had to stuff an elastic band in the back to maintain battery contact with the lamp over bumps. Colleagues of mine have had multiple cut-out problems.
Overall:
If they could manufacture the thing with more integrity it'd be close to perfect (and make a better bracket to attach it to the bike). I've been lucky, once I solved the battery contact trick it's been fine for the last year.
