Description: - The nearest hostel to Coed Y Brenin. - Hostel sleeps 15 people in 4 centrally heated dorms, all en suite with showers, with linen and duvets provided. - Drying room, cook a snack, e-mail and a TV room and Secure lock-up. - Post office, off licences, bank, newsagent, grocer, chemist and petrol station nearby.

'NOT NEAR TO TRAILS'

Strengths:
Good central village location.

Weaknesses:
Went to find this place with view to booking a group in. They say that they're 4 miles from Coed y Brenin but we made it to be nearer 6 miles from them to the trails!
For safety's sake I think that you'd have to drive to the trail starts as the only way from Llys Ednowain appears to be down the busy A470 and 6 miles back up the hill on the way home!

Overall:
We've booked into some log cabins which are a good, couple of miles nearer the trails and they've got routes mapped out which take you straight from the cabins, on mountain roads and into the forest. They're called Cadair View Lodge.

'GOOD FRIENDLY HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION NEAR COED Y BRENIN'

Strengths:
Clean, and value for money £12.00 per night. Also you get all your bed linen, duvets and towels included in the price.
+ there is no need to cycle on the bussy A470 to coed y brenin, you can ride on the National cycle route number 8, from the village which will take you to Coed y Brenin, mountain biking centre, which is about 6 miles.

Overall:
In the centre of the village close to all amenities. Also a secure bike lock-up.
