Description: 200km circular ride in the Orkhon area of Central Mongolia. 100% off-road, full vehicle support. Remote and beautiful scenery, inhabited only by nomadic families. During August and September.

'ONE OF THE BEST TOUR COMPANIES IN THRE WORLD'

Strengths:
Meticulous attention to detail, superb food and tents, incredible bike mechanics who tuned and cleaned the bikes every night, top hotel and Ger accomodations

Weaknesses:
None. The husband and wife owners are on every tour and on top of everything.

Overall:
I have biked around the world on my own and in remote places with tour groups. Off The Map tours is the best company I have ever been with and I can recommend them unequivically.

'FANTASTIC - WHAT AN EXPERIENCE! WORTH EVERY PENNY. '

Strengths:
A wonderful trip. The tour leader is Mongolian and an experienced cyclist, as well as being the owner of the company. Country, scenery, people, culture and wildlife were all there to be experienced and enjoyed. Food and accommodation excellent. Bikes and their maintenance first class. The tour team, who love their bikes and their country, were friendly, accommodating and supportive.

Weaknesses:
Can't think of any!

Overall:
This tour, although all off road, is not designed to be hugely challenging for bike or rider. It is therefore, accessible to the recreational cyclist with some mountain bike experience and moderate fitness (two 50-somethings + 20 yr old daughter!.) You enjoy absorbing the countryside, meeting its people, and seeing the wildlife as well as the satisfaction of a great bike ride. We travelled to Mongolia on the Trans Siberian/Mongolian railway - an experience in itself.
