'BEST BIKING TRIP YET'
Strengths:
Varied trails
Great guide, really knowledgeable about area and locals!
Local tapas and bars
Accommodation and local shop next door
Proximity to Granada
Belly dancers
Weaknesses:
None really, the local lager can get a bit dull. 12 identical varieties of Alhambra is 11 too many for anyone.

Watching Shaun clear the trails on a hardtail might not be good for your ego...
Overall:
Fantastic trip with Shaun and Csilla. There's a real variety of riding around Monachil. Riding to the top of Veleta (and back down again, quickly...) was a highlight, as was the techie, rocky singletrack we rode on the last day. Shaun likes a climb, if you dont, let him know! The accommodation is excellent, with a supermarket and bar next door. Well stocked with magazine, DVDs etc, not that you will need them. Local bars all serve up tapas with each drink, and the guide will be happy to share a bite and a bevy with you. We've been on several trips in Spain and this was definitely the best yet, we'll be back next year.
Very relaxed riding and stay with a company with roots firmly in the area and no pretences.

'THE BUSINESS!'
Strengths:
A great variety of trails to ride - huge downhills and some tough climbs. The perfect place to improve your riding skills. Shaun knows the area like the back of his hand and is great at motivating you to push yourself to the very edge of your abilities. Csilla provides fantastic backup and awesome trail food! The house in Monachil is an ideal base and has everything you need for your stay.
Weaknesses:
None.
Overall:
Had a fantastic time in Spain with RSN and would recommend it to anyone. Give them a go, you will not regret it!

'PERFECT FOR RIDERS OF ALL LEVELS'
Strengths:
- Beautiful location, you don't have to drive anywhere to go walking, riding etc its all on the door step
- V near the city for a rainy day
- horseriding, spa/massage place in the village for the overly bruised novice rider to do on an off day..
- friendly advice about which rides suit which levels of rider, invaluable for myself as a newbie to it
- Scenery is breathtaking and after some exploring is really varied
- Book shelves stuffed with books (more rainy day options)you don't need to take any!
Weaknesses:
Little bit of a trek to the big food markets, need a car for a big shop, or you can just live simply on the little one next door.
Overall:

A very relaxing 'time out' retreat! thanks guys!

'FANTÁSTICO'
Strengths:
This is my third holiday with RSN and I will definitely be going back for more. We rode some of my favourite trails, had a play on a deserted downhill course, there were lots of technical rocky descents oh yes and plenty of climbing too, mostly in glorious sunshine. On several occasions we climbed well into the snow line.
Weaknesses:
none apart from the weather, we had three days of rain...it was the wettest winter for 20 years apparently.
Overall:
Great riding, comfortable accommodation and excellent company.

'ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!'
Overall:
Monachil village is small but has everything you would need and some great wee pubs plus it's close to Granada if you want to head into the city. The house you can stay in owned by the hosts is stunning, loads of room and very comfortable and typically Spanish. We had 4 days of riding, each day was completely different but equally fantastic - fast flowing decents through forests to technical switchbacks and urban riding in Granada. Csilla's sandwiches are amazing - the best i've ever had and a different one each day. We were there in January and had really good weather - clear blue skies and temperatures around 15/16 degrees, perfect for riding. Shaun and Csilla are really friendly and welcoming and make you feel right at home and go out of their way to help you. I would definitely go back and recommend it for anyone as the variety of trails means there is something for everyone.

'AMAZING AMAZING AND AMAZING'
Strengths:
Every type of trail you could imagine, from urban city riding in Grenada, fast flowing in the forest and technical rock steepness. Biking heaven.
Overall:
The hospitality was out of this world along with the sandwiches. Accommodation is very nice as is the village; you can get a good feel for the local culture. The trails are really good, so varied and are all in a landscape that has big view after big view. Definitely worth a trip you will not be disappointed, even a trip just for the sandwiches and good socialising would be worth it.

'GREAT RIDING, AMAZING WEATHER, UNBELIEVABLE SCENERY, GREAT !'
Strengths:
I had great holiday with RideSierraNevada in 08, amazing time riding on the high mountain trails, and gerat fun drinking lower down in the town at the end of the day. The trails we were taken on, some starting with a van ride some straight off on the bike, had amazing long downhills, rocky trail and great technical riding. The guides were brilliant and the whole thing really well organized, the week went by pretty fast and would love another trip out there. The hosts Shuan and Csilla were really welcoming and every day the lunches were brilliant. The house we rented from ride sierra nevada is fantastic just next to the centre of the village and every days riding ended with sitting in the sun in the out side bar with the locals and our group. Lastly having Granada city close by is a bonus great night life and culture, making for a truly great holiday.
Weaknesses:
not really any I can think of, aprt from maybe local bar could have more beers on tap
Overall:
Amazing way to spend a week or 2 go and see for yourself.
