Strengths: They could not be any friendlier. Staying with them is just like you're staying with family and friends. They know the area like the backs of their hands. They'll tailor the riding to you and always ride at your pace but, without you even realising it, by the end of the week you'll be riding twice as fast and down trails you wouldn't have previously walked down.
Weaknesses: Basic but comfy accomodation in a very remote village.
Overall: Been with them 3 times now (should have been 4 but a broken collar bone 2 weeks before departure put a stop to that) and now booked again (and because we'd paid and not gone last year they credited us for this year - beat that). No need to go anywhere else, the trails around there cannot be bettered.
Strengths: Excellent knowledge of local trails, very friendly, good home cooked food at night with some excellent lunch stops in the local cafes
Weaknesses: Thorns on the trails dont like my tires .. might invest in some tubeless for next trip
Overall: These guys were recommended by a friend who has been out with them 4 times all ready. I really enjoyed the whole atmosphere of the holiday combined with some fanastic biking. Great singletrack! think Afan or Coed on steriods :)
Strengths: - flexible start & finish days - free airport transfer - fantastic evening meals by Jackie - incredibly relaxed atmosphere but at the same time superbly organised - nothing too much trouble for Mark and his very capable team - well-equipped workshop
Weaknesses: None of any consequence
Overall: My first biking trip to the Sierra Nevada, there are several people offering guided holidays in the area but what really made this one stand out from the crowd was the mid-week overnight stay in Granada city. After being dropped by the minibus in the hills above Granada, and then climbing for an hour by fire-road, we had a superb tapas lunch and then decended by some pretty technical single-track into the city, checked into the guest-house (which had secure bike storage), and then headed out again with the bikes for a guided tour of Granada's hilly Jewish quarter, navigating its cobbled streets and staircases, and stopping a couple of times for local beer and tapas. Truly memorable madness!
