Strengths: Comfortable to wear, I don't really notice it's there. Enough room for tools, phone etc. but not so much that you can fill it with loads of rubbish you don't need. Holds plenty of drink, excellent bite valve
Weaknesses: The drinking tube is a bit long but I suppose I could trim it to size. A lot more expensive than pockets and a waterbottle! Perhaps not enough room for a really long ride in the middle of nowhere?
Overall: Excellent, functional product but a bit pricey. If you need to carry stuff and you like drinking stuff then it's for you.
Strengths: Fits tight and cumfy, true that you forget it's there, quite a lot of drink in it, decent amount of space to put junk in, also good for holding macks on the back just in case of rain...
Weaknesses: Gte quite heavy when full of water and junk (as it would) TOO EXPENSIVE by far!!!!!
Overall: A good bag with may features but the price is a bitch expensive but worth the money if you use it alot and if you have a y frame and mau keeps going over your water bottle...:-P
Strengths: nice size has cargo space stores enough water very comfortable, you forget its there holds a mini pump
Weaknesses: pricey. cleaning is hard without a Camelbak brush kit. long tube
Overall: a very good hydration system which is the perfect size for trail riding. It has storage space which is big enough to hold a spare inner tube and those on trail essentails (energy bars etc.) it also has a special little mini pump holder. Useful. A bit overpriced but if your prepared to spend the money, it's well worth it.
Strengths: Ideal for day rides when you don't need to carry a lot of kit. Omega valve makes cleaning/filling dead easy, ergo valve excellent, can't believe a bent valve would make drinking so easy.
Weaknesses: A bit pricey
Overall: Great for what is was designed for, if you want greater capacity buy a bigger pack.
Strengths: Nice easy to use bib-bite valve is lovely. Well made, strong. Enough space for essentials, big enough for an all-day ride for me. Nice bit for your pump. Bungee cord is good for carrying additional layers.
Weaknesses: Lack of waist strap A bit pricey
Overall: Performance: This is a very very nice hydration backpack. The extra compartment as ample room for a cool-tool, some cash, a spare tube and some food. It also has a neat bit for storing a mini-pump. OK, so it's not got masses of space but it should be enough for a long ride and I'm sure I could fit enough in it for an all-day ride. Besides, this pack wasn't meant to be too big, you want more space you buy one of the bigger Camelbaks. Switching from a bottle to a Hydration pack is great, you'll wonder what you did without one. The ease of drinking is heightened by the 'Big-bite' valve, just the right amount of water and it's got a lock on it to stop it leaking as well. The straps are very comfortable, but the pack did move about a little bit on the singletrack. This is the only real problem: it's a shame the pack doesn't come with a waist strap for extra comfort and security.
Reliability: Well, it may be wrong of me to rate it after only just getting the pack, but the whole thing is very well constucted and very strong. Camelbak claim that the bladder is strong enough to be run over by a car; a claim I'm willing to believe. Also, my mate (see Chris above) has had his Lobo for ages and it doesn't look the slightest bit worn. There's also a warrenty with it which I don't think I shall be needing.
Value: The full price (£49.99) is a bit expensive, but I would be willing to pay it for this pack. However, you can obtain this pack for a lot less from many of the mail order shops that advertise in the magazines.
