Strengths: strong precision forged components, great looks..
Weaknesses: none as yet
Overall: an excellent peice of kit as you would expect from raceface. been running mine now for 4 months in all weathers and its still as good as new...
'LOOK GOOD BUT OBVIOUSLY THE CHEAPER END OF THE RANGE'
Strengths: For the money these are a good looking, strong set of cranks that haven't caused me any troubles out on the trail.
Weaknesses: When removing the cranks it's too easy to strip the thread even when using the proper tool. I've removed many cranks in the past with no problems but the threads on these went far to easily.
Overall: Until I tried to remove them to put them on my new frame I was very happy with these cranks. Now I have stripped the threads I am not so happy and will probably be buying something else once I have the cash.
Strengths: Very pretty. Cheap. NOT SHIMANO - YIPPEEEE!
Weaknesses: Chain suck, chain suck, chain suck, chain suck chain suck! - every ride, no matter what you do! dry chain, wet chain, clean dirty whatever. and all since new.
Overall: beautiful alternative to shimano, but be prepared for it to try to saw through your chainstays
Overall: I've Been using them for nearly a year now,fit and forget, great shifting, totally reliable, not had to re torque mounting bolts thus far nore tighten ring bolts, great in mud or dry conditions, haven't encountered the chainsuck thats been mentioned but I'm running an 8 speed setup so that may or maynot account for that, for me they're great, unbelievable quality for the money.
Strengths: nice and stiff, raceface badge at a killer price
Weaknesses: Isis BB is the weakness, for my Kona there is a very limited choice with these cranks. I am currently needing to replace en evolve signature BB bought at £60, lasted about 18 months with reasonably regular servicing. Though bearings are replacable, this is v difficult without the race face tooling ao may be a bike shop job. As I need some rings too I am looking at an alternative chainset, maybe the Shimano Hone The race face rings are not as durable as say the high end middleburn ones
Overall: Good cranks, BB is the weakness, look at the newer external type BB
