'THE BEST BIKING WITHIN 3HOURS TRAVELLING...PERIOD. '
Strengths:
Trails are out of this world, some of the best single track in the world. Ups and downs were just epic. You just end up feeling like you really have reached nirvana and it wasn't the altitude. Big drops, rocky technical descents, switchbacks evrywhere, sweeping long eye watering descents, sunshine dappled, woody singletrack, tracks along glacial rivers, snow capped mountains and glaciers all around plus cows with bells on!! Even a trip out of the valley into Switzerland was a bit spesh and you don't even need a passport. The guides and staff were brilliant. You know they are that good, but you don't feel like they are above you at all. They're knowledge was great about the area. If you wanted to follow their suggestions, you couldn't possibly be disappointed with your day out, or you can ask for a little bit of this, add a bit of that and a whole lot of grinning and they will sort you out. Meals are fantastic, all the food groups represented including taste and energy! The chalet we stayed in was a beautiful traditional French pad, warm and woody, with views of Mont Blanc rising into the skies outside the wooden shutters waiting to greet you every morning. Truly breathtaking. Chamonix itself is a wonderful town, pubs and bars aplenty and a bit of retail for the wife if you fancy taking her. All this within 3hours of your departure from Blighty.
Weaknesses:
The climbs are of the "because they are there" variety, but fortunately, the lifts can be taken too because "they are there and they are easier"! But never forget that all that up means all those downs. After that can't really fault it.
Overall:
Fantastic week of biking, nothing in this country can compete. Even the walkers on the trails can't get out of the way quick enough and cheer your lunacy on! The sort of epic rides that left me wanting to take every one there just to have their breath taken away and for their jaws to drop. Proper mountain biking and a great holiday. I'm going back this year with my new full sus. Can't wait would be an understatement.

'PROPER GUIDED BIKING IN PROPER MOUNTAINS'
Strengths:
Fantastic location for proper all day rides. Long hard climbs give you a sense of achievement and well-being, plus an eyeful of vista and lungs full of clean mountain air. The best preparation for the long, technically challenging descents which are rideable and enjoyable even on a hardtail.
The guides are very professional and seamslessly working in the background to make your trip both enjoyable and safe. They are great riders with respect for their guests, the locals and the environment in which they work.
Food and chalet are also great being relaxed with everything you could ask for after a hard days riding as well as being close enough to all the action in Chamonix. And a great price to boot!!
Weaknesses:
Well, it did rain for a morning in mid August.
Having to choose whether to do the Tour du Mont Blanc trip next time.
Overall:
Far exceeded my expectations, which it would have done regardless of the fact that we were out the same week that the President of Yeti cycles was staying with them. If that is not a good enough endorsement, then I don't know what is.

'THE NASTIEST, NADGERY SINGLETRACK I'VE RIDDEN...EVER'
Strengths:
You have to earn the kind of decents the 10fifty boys expertly guide you down. From fast weaving smoothness to the tightest rocky switchbacks, where your bars are literally parallel with your top tube, Chamonix must be singletrack heaven.
All the elements are there with aplomb - (lots of) fantastic food, comfortable accomodation, helpful advice, outstanding hospitality and riding that is out of this world.
Need I say more!
Weaknesses:
Well, I did have to have my SIDs and rear wheel re-built when I returned home - get advice about kit before going (like I didn't!)
Overall:
An awesome week of biking - Rich you forgot to mention getting our asses kicked by the French national junior downhill champion!
