Strengths: Like silver thread, merino is pretty much pong proof. Warm (it's wool, duh) Comfy & snug & light.
Weaknesses: Snags? Mine developed a hole in the back within a few months. I don't remember crawling under any barbed wire, but who knows, maybe in my sleep.....
Overall: Along with my North Face zipped waffle top, my shaggy Berghaus fleece, this is one of those items that you wear until... you can't, wash it and then put it straight back on. Supreme clothing from a totally lovely bunch of people (read their Howies vs Levi story, it'll have you in creases).
Strengths: no pong wicks very well soft and comfortable next to the skin
warm in winter but can be worn on it's own in summer
Weaknesses: none
Overall: I have the zipped version which makes it better to cool down in hot days. I've worn it for 2 years now and it still looks and feels like new. Highly recommended
Strengths: Warm Well priced Very breathable Doesn't smell
Weaknesses: Bit itchy at first, but wears off after a few washes. Tend to have to stretch it a bit whilst damp after washing, as it tends to shrink a tad.
Overall: Great to wear on cold days, doesn't get wet when you work hard and doesn't stink either, I've actually worn it 3 days on the trot before having to wash it! You will only need a windproof on top on the coldest, windy days to keep cosy.
