Strengths: very strong and secure. No worries about it moving or coming loose. holds 3 bikes with ease, rear lights, number plate mount keeps it all legal and you can still get into the car boot
Weaknesses: Heavy and a big cumbersome to fit first time but soon mastered
Strengths: You can 'fine-tune' the fit to suit your bikes due to the way you assemble it. Cheaper than the equivalent Thule rack. Great for cars with the spare wheel on the rear door.
Weaknesses: Not easy to store or put in the boot when out riding due to fixed upright arms. (IMHO these could be made detachable as they are not weight bearing - Pendle please note).
Overall: A Thule rack wouldn't fit my car (CR-V). The Pendle rack was cheaper and better, as it is easier to slot on and off the towbar & you can adjust the position of the wheel supports and uprights during assembly. Holds the bikes well as the wheels slot into the frame rather than just sitting on it.
