Strengths: Super strong - how thick are the walls? Perfect blend of stiffness and compliance. Subtle styling / looks
Weaknesses: Only work with oversized stems Where do I get decent bar-end plugs?
Overall: I bought a bar / stem combo for just £40, the Tioga cube stem in 35mm and the Tioga 286 DH bar. You can get this deal from several shops that advertise in the back of MBUK or Dirt magazines.
The walls are seriously thick, so thick that I cannot find decent bar-end plugs to fit. I can only get shitty cheap plastic plugs which always fall out...even the plugs from my X-Lite DHR-80 bars don't fit (which show you how thick the walls on the Tioga bars must be..)
I can't find anything bad to say about these bars (apart from the lack of bar-end plugs), they are superstrong, comfortable, a great rise and shape; and look quite cool and understated.
At £40 with stem, a total bargain. I now use the Tioga bar/stem combo on both my DH and jump bikes
Strengths: I can't say a lot' cos I just got'em but they look pretty cool.
Weaknesses: Paint scratches too easily
Overall: I heard a lot of you complaining about the lack of plugs. My dealer has 3 or 4 types of Tioga Factory grips and most of them come with plugs that a similat to X-lite ones, but made with different material.
