'FAST OLD SKOOL XC RACER'
Strengths:
Super fast! Just get your head down and pile on the speed. Great climber, low weigh & potential for further weight saving, good spec, great xc racer but suitable for all day stuff with trail kit. Tough as nails finish
Weaknesses:
Fork travel a bit short. The black lock on grips with red details look cheap on a £1300 bike. Tyres no good for UK trails.
Overall:
What a great bike! Mine is the 2007 version (as pictured) it just flies uphill and is pretty handy downhill too although if you want to get loads of air and do massive drop offs forget it.
Still, an excellent old skool xc racer that weighs nothing (under 25lbs) despite some of the components being a bit lardy (saddle, post, stem).

At first I was not too keen, but over time this bike has really grown on me. Can be had at bargain prices now too. Just ditch those grips and get some cool all black ones with silver GT logo off ebay, finishes off a classy bike.
